🏛️ የደ/ብርሃን ከተማ አስተዳደር 🏛️

የደ/ብርሃን ከተማ አስተዳደር በአማራ ብሔራዊ ክልላዊ መንግስት ስር የምትገኝ ክልሉ በመካከለኛ ደረጃ ከፈረጃቸው ከተሞች መካከል አንዷ ነች፡፡

ከተማዋ የሰ/ሸዋ ዞን እና የባሶና ወራና ወረዳ አስተዳደር ጭምር ርዕሰ ከተማ ስትሆን በሪጂዮ ፖሊታን ከተማ ደረጃ ያደገች ከኢትዮጵያ ርዕሰ መዲና ከአዲስ አበባ በ130 ኪ/ሜ ርቀት ላይ የምትገኝ ከክልሉ ርዕሰ ከተማ ባህርዳር ደግሞ በ675 ኪ/ሜ ርቀት ላይ ትገኛለች፡፡

የደ/ብርሃን ከተማ በአፄ ዘርያዕቆብ ዘመነ መንግስት በ1446 ዓ.ም የተቆረቆረች ጥንታዊ ከተማ ነች፡፡

ከተማዋ ስያሜዋን ያገኘችው ከሁለት ቃላት ከተወሰዱት ትርጎሜዎች ሲሆን እነሱም "ደብረ" አጥቢያ ወይም ቦታ ማለት ሲሆን "ብርሃን" የሚለው ደግሞ በደስታ ተክለወልድ የተዘጋጀው የአማርኛ መዝገበ ቃላት እንደሚገልጸው የአፄ ዘርያዕቆብ የቅድስት ስላሴ መቅደስ ወይም ደብር የሰሩባት ብርሃን ስለወረደባት በመቅደሱ ስም ደብረ ብርሃን በመባል ትጠራለች፡፡

ብርሃኑ የታየበት ቀን መጋቢት 10 ቀን 1446 ዓ.ም በቁርባን ጊዜና ሌሊት መዘምራን ሲያገለግሉ ታየ ተብሎ ይነገራል፡፡

የደ/ብርሃን ከተማ አስተዳደር በ5 ክፍለ ከተሞች በ24 የከተማና በ13 የገጠር ቀበሌዎች ተዋቀረች ነች፡፡

የከተማዋ የህዝብ ብዛት በሚመለከት ወንድ 218,485 ሲሆን ሴት ደግሞ 233,567 በድምሩ 452,053 እንደሆነ ያገኘነው መረጃ ያመለክታል፡፡

የደ/ብርሃን ከተማ ሙሉ በሙሉ የአየር ንብረቷ ደጋማ ሲሆን ከቅርብ አመታት ወዲህ የኢንቨስትመንት መዳረሻና የኢንዱስትሪ ከተማ ለመሆን ብቅታለች፡፡ የሸዋ ብርሃን ደጋማዋ ደ/ብርሃን ለኑሮ ተስማሚ በርካታ ሰው ሰራሽና ተፈጥሮአዊ ሀይማኖታዊና ባህላዊ የቱሪስት መዳረሻዎች የሚገኙባት የፍቅር ከተማ ነች፡፡

Historical Background

Debre Berhan is an ancient city established during the reign of Emperor Zera Yaqob in 1446 E.C. The city's name originates from two meanings: "Debre" meaning mountain/holy place and "Berhan" meaning light. According to historical accounts, the city was named when a miraculous light appeared during the construction of the Holy Trinity Church (Debre Selassie) by Emperor Zera Yaqob. This event occurred on Miazia 10, 1446 E.C. during religious services. Previously, the city was known as Debre Eba.
